Right now, insurance companies often refuse to pay for prosthetic limbs designed for sports or showering. They claim these items are not needed for basic health. This bill would change the rules. It would force insurers to cover devices that let people live full, active lives. It would also stop them from slapping unfair fees on amputees or denying coverage based on a disability. If this passes, people who need artificial limbs will get the gear they need to run, swim, and work without going broke.
