Losing your hair during cancer treatment is hard enough. Right now, insurance companies can refuse to pay for cooling caps that save a patient's hair. This bill changes the rules. If an insurance plan covers chemotherapy, it would also have to cover the cooling cap. This is a big win for patients because it forces insurers to pick up the tab for something that makes a scary illness a little easier to handle.
