Nobody should have to worry about getting a bill just for calling for help. Right now, some fire districts can charge you a fee if they show up to a 911 call, even if you do not end up needing their services. This bill would protect your wallet during an emergency. It ensures you would only pay if the fire department actually does emergency work for you. If you make a prank call, they could still fine you. This is a great protection for regular people that needs your support while it moves through the legislature.
