The While Appeals Bill
Tax collection limits paused while appeals linger
Relating To Tax Collections.
Bad for everyday people ·
If passed, the bill would pause the time limit for collecting taxes while a taxpayer’s appeal is pending, letting the state keep chasing money longer.
Our take
What we think, in plain words.
Citizens could face tax bills that never expire, paying interest and penalties for years while their case drags on, so they should speak up now.
