What the bill actually says, no spin.
- Applies to group or individual accident and health policies that cover prescription drugs.
- Effective for policies issued or renewed on or after Jan 1, 2026.
- Cost sharing must be calculated after applying at least 100% of drug rebates.
- Any rebate amount above the cost sharing reduction must be used to lower premiums.
- The Department of Insurance may adopt rules to implement the provisions.
