What the bill actually says, no spin.
- Insurers must send a receipt notice within 7 days of receiving a provider application.
- If an application is incomplete, insurers must notify the provider within 30 days and list what is missing.
- Insurers must finish credentialing within 60 days, pausing only if they request more information.
- Once credentialed and a contract is signed, insurers must reimburse the provider for covered services.
- The bill only takes effect if a companion bill (HB 5513) is also enacted.
