What we think, in plain words.
New Hampshire is the only state that lets people drive without car insurance. This bill would change that to protect people who get hit by uninsured drivers. It makes sure everyone on the road can actually pay for the damage they cause. But there is a major catch. If a police officer asks for your insurance card and you do not have it with you, your license gets suspended immediately. That is a very harsh punishment for just forgetting a piece of paper. Because of the strict penalties and the high cost to update the state computer systems, lawmakers are already voting to kill the bill.
