The Safe Storage Bill
Ohio proposes tax credit for gun safe storage devices
Enact Amya's Law for Child Access Prevention
Good for everyday people ·
If passed, Ohio would require gun owners to lock up firearms and give them a tax credit to buy safe storage boxes.
Our take
What we think, in plain words.
Kids would be less likely to find an unlocked gun, which could prevent tragedies. Gun owners would need to store guns safely, but the state would help by giving a tax credit and removing sales tax. This is a chance for families to support safety before the bill moves out of committee.
