Nobody likes surprise charges on their receipt. Right now, some stores sneak in extra fees when you swipe your card. This bill would fix that by forcing businesses to be honest about their prices upfront. It will not stop the fees completely, but it gives you the power to choose how to pay before it is too late. If you hate hidden junk fees, this proposed rule is a great step forward.
