Physical therapy often requires multiple visits a week. When insurers treat it as a specialty and charge high copays for every session, patients can quickly get priced out of their own recovery. By capping these out-of-pocket costs to match a standard doctor visit, this bill would make rehab much more affordable. Insurers might argue this could raise premiums for everyone, but for anyone trying to heal from an injury, it is a major relief.
