The Child Care Bill
Tax breaks for companies that help pay for child care
Child day-care facility investment and child day-care expense reimbursement; income tax credits.
Good for everyday people ·
This bill would give businesses a tax break if they help pay for their workers' child care or build a day care at the office.
Our take
What we think, in plain words.
Child care is incredibly expensive for most families. This bill would try to help by offering companies up to $50,000 in tax breaks if they pitch in on their workers' day care bills or build an on-site facility. While it does give corporations a tax cut, the money has to be spent directly on helping working parents afford child care.
