Right now, it is very hard to find a therapist. Many clinics have long wait lists. This bill would help fix that by forcing insurance companies and Medicaid to pay for sessions with therapists who are still in training. These trainees must be supervised by a fully licensed professional. By making sure clinics get paid for this work, more people can get the mental health and addiction treatment they need. The bill also stops insurance companies from taking back their money after six months. This is a big win for patients who need care and the clinics trying to provide it.
