What we think, in plain words.
Losing your hair during cancer treatment is a heavy emotional blow. Scalp cooling caps can prevent this, but they are expensive and often not covered by insurance. This bill would make large employer health plans pay for these devices. While it leaves out people on small or individual plans, it is a huge win for many patients fighting cancer by shifting the cost from the sick person to the insurance company.
